You've done everything you were supposed to do.

You took the medication. You went to therapy. You kept showing up for work and for your family. When depression still won't lift, it's easy to feel like you've run out of options.

You haven't. SAINT was built for exactly this moment, and it takes one week, not months.

    What SAINT® is

Mapping your brain, and your way forward

SAINT (Stanford Accelerated Intelligent Neuromodulation Therapy) is a personalized form of TMS developed at Stanford. Instead of aiming at a standard spot for everyone, it uses an MRI of your brain to find your own target, then treats it with gentle magnetic pulses.

    A 45-minute brain scan

A painless MRI creates a map of your brain's connections. We coordinate the scan for you.

    Your individual target

SAINT's software finds the precise spot in your brain linked to depression, so treatment is aimed at you.

    Five days of treatment

Ten 10-minute sessions a day with 50-minute breaks, Monday through Friday. You're awake, can read or work between sessions, and can drive yourself.

Is SAINT® TMS Right for You?

Tried antidepressants without enough relief? SAINT® TMS is an FDA-cleared, fMRI-guided treatment for adults with major depressive disorder who have not improved enough with antidepressant medication.

SAINT® uses a personalized brain target and delivers treatment over five consecutive days. It differs from standard TMS in its targeting approach, treatment schedule, and research background. In a small randomized trial, 11 of 14 people receiving active treatment reached remission at the four-week assessment, compared with 2 of 15 receiving sham treatment. Results vary, and a five-day treatment course does not guarantee remission in five days.

How SAINT® Works and How It Differs From Conventional TMS

SAINT® is an FDA-cleared treatment for adults with major depressive disorder who have not improved on antidepressants in the current episode. This video explains how it works, and how it differs from conventional TMS.

Conventional TMS usually means about 30 visits over 6 to 9 weeks. SAINT is five visits over five days.

What makes it different: SAINT is the only FDA-cleared depression treatment that uses an fMRI scan to personalize the stimulation target to your individual brain. A 45-minute scan maps your brain and identifies the specific circuit linked to depression. Treatment is then delivered as ten 10-minute sessions per day, with 50-minute breaks between them, across five consecutive days.

In clinical trials, 79% of participants reached remission, with an average of 2.6 days to remission. SAINT is generally well tolerated; the most common side effects reported were mild headache and temporary scalp discomfort at the treatment site.

    Common questions

    American Airlines employees often ask

    Does SAINT® hurt?

Most people describe a tapping feeling on the scalp. The most common side effects in clinical trials were mild headache and temporary scalp discomfort. You stay awake the whole time, with no anesthesia.

    Is SAINT® safe?

SAINT® is FDA-cleared and noninvasive. More than 400 patients have been treated in clinical trials with no serious adverse events reported. Rare risks include seizure, and your clinician will review every risk with you.

Will my American Airlines plan cover it?

Coverage depends on your specific plan and requires a benefits check and, in many cases, prior authorization. We verify your benefits and handle the paperwork, and you'll know your cost before you commit. Coverage isn't guaranteed, and self-pay is available.

Can a family member on my plan be treated?

Adults 22 and older on your plan whose depression hasn't improved with medication may be eligible. Each person gets their own free consultation.

Do I need to get my own MRI?

No. We order and coordinate your 45-minute brain scan for you.

    Where does treatment happen?

At our clinic in Coral Springs, Florida. Your consultation happens over Zoom, and our travel coordinator helps you plan your treatment week.

    How fast can treatment start?

With self-pay, most patients move from consultation to treatment within a few days. The insurance pathway generally takes longer because it requires benefits review and prior authorization.

Can I fly after SAINT® treatment?

SAINT® is an outpatient treatment and you can drive yourself to and from sessions. Many patients who travel for treatment fly home after the five-day protocol. Your care team will confirm any travel guidance for your situation.

Take the first step. We'll handle the rest.
